few things happened this week...
first of all,
i'm joining back the combat force
so,no more time to relax anymore.

we were at gao xiong,
went to the fish museum

the best was the roller coaster

3.river crossing(fucked up)

4.100m live firing(passing 6/10)

started on 14/01/09

took off at 2200 on a 4 km route march

took appx 36 mins to reach

after 15mins move off again

and took appx 40mins

had our technical handerling test

passed(piece of cake!)

after than had 2 6km route marches

the second 6km march seems FOREVER

really forever...

than reach our sar21 handerling test

passed..(piece of cake!)

we WANTED to rest but our RSM

came and chase us out...

bloody hell..freaking tired man...

than march for another 4km

another 4km that seems for like 6km

reached out MAIN OBJECTIVE

RIVER CROSSING!!!!!!!

had a company live firing on monday...
walked up the knoll(hill) 6times man...
the mosquitor is the kill..
think i got more than 20 bites in let than 4 hours man...
wed went to marsilling for field camp..
walk walk walk...
than went to harbouring area and prep for dawn attack
work up at 3 to prep for dawn attack..
gosh..moving out at 4 man...i still wanna sleep...
walk another few hundred meters to reach the objective
well,since i was the breaching section commander
i had to go reckee for enemy...
so...i was the first to get contact..
BUT!
i went there to scout for enemy
but instead,i don find any obstical or enemy
than i ask my platoon to enter...
to relise...they where sleep=.="
hahaha!!
well we had lady luck!
after that we started digging shell scrape again..

Cottage Cheese Pancakes
Serves 4 | Prep time: 10 minutes | Total time: 25 minutes

ingredients

3/4 cup all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup low-fat (1%) cottage cheese
2/3 cup milk
2 large egg whites
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 teaspoons vegetable oil

1. In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir in cottage cheese, milk, egg whites, and vanilla.
2. In a large nonstick skillet, heat 2 teaspoons oil over medium. Working in batches, drop cottage cheese mixture by 1/4 cupfuls into pan (2 or 3 at a time).
3. Cook until bottoms are set and tops have small bubbles, about 1 minute. Turn pancakes and cook until just firm in the center, 1 to 3 minutes more. Repeat, using remaining 3 teaspoons oil for the other batches.

Almond Cookies

Makes 28 | Prep time: 30 minutes | Total time: 45 minutes

ingredients

1 cup whole blanched almonds, toasted
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
1 large whole egg, plus 1 large egg white
1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
3/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
1 cup all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

1. To toast the almonds, spread them on a rimmed baking sheet, and place in a 350-degree oven. Remove when they're golden brown and fragrant, about 10 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, with racks in upper and lower thirds. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Reserve 1/4 cup almonds (about 28) for garnish. Place remaining 3/4 cup in a food processor; pulse until finely ground.
3. With an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar in a large bowl until fluffy. Add whole egg, orange zest, and almond extract (if using); beat until smooth. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add flour mixture to the butter mixture, beating just until incorporated. Mix in ground almonds.
4. Using 1 level tablespoon per cookie, roll dough into balls. Drop onto prepared sheets, at least 1 inch apart. Garnish each cookie with a reserved almond (page 100). In a small bowl, lightly beat egg white with 1 teaspoon water; brush over cookies (discard excess white).
5. Bake until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes, rotating sheets from top to bottom and back to front halfway through. Let cool slightly; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
